Sonya Hall

I rarely leave good enough alone.  I tinker, I learn and I tinker some more.  My purpose in life is to leave things better than I found them – more functional, more appealing, more meaningful.  I am driven by achieving growth and creating something that never existed before. Combined with an unusually energetic personality, this has led to far ranging creative interests: I cook, quilt, stained glass, crochet, and garden. Gardening was one of the inspirations behind my newest creation, Thrive Village.

The art of espalier (training a tree or vine to grow on a trellis or wall) is a powerful metaphor for business. Supported by a strong and well-designed structure when it is young, a plant is trained to grow into a beautiful form that also produces higher crop yields – a marvelous leveraging of form and function.

I love finding what is working in a system and building on it.  My roles in organizations have always been focused on improvement, quality and planning for the future.  I left the corporate and non-profit world 21 years ago to try my hand at consulting and have never looked back.  I love getting a new challenge everyday and helping teams gain fresh insights to ensure a healthy path to growth. I am always looking for a better approach, a deeper insight and a way to bring out the best in my clients.
